Next month, September, Log Cabin Republicans Washington is having two events: our annual late summer hike on Saturday September 7 and our in-city meet up with a date to be announced later.
There are some of people who prefer us Log Cabin Republicans take a hike and disappear but we are not going anywhere. Except on this annual hike.
On September 7 we are hiking to Tolmie Peak and Lake Eunice in the NW (and free section) of Mount Rainier National Park. Its a great hike in beautiful scenery to Tolmie Peak and its Fire Lookout. Its 7.5 miles roundtrip and per WTA its a moderate hike.
Here is the WTA (Washington Trails Association) link describing the hike (https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/tolmie-peak) Many of us will be carpooling so if you want to do that then definitely let us know and we can arrange that.
We are going to meet at the trailhead at 9AM. Bring your good walking shoes or hiking boots, your lunch and water and be dress in layers as it could rain or be downright warm. (Movement promotes warmth anyway), you are going to have a great time in the park with beautiful scenery with friendly likeminded types on the hike.
Afterwards some of us go home and some go out for dinner to continue talking.
RSVP here or [email protected] and will arrange a carpool and answer any questions you might have.
See you there!
